Driving:
Get yourself to the Kelowna airport
which is past Kelowna on the way to Vernon on Highway 97.

From Vancouver: proceed through Kelowna on Hwy #97 past the Kelowna
Airport on the right. Follow the directions below from Kelowna Airport to Okanagan House. |

From Kelowna
Airport: go north on highway 97 towards Vernon. Travel along the
highway for approximately 10 minutes. You will pass one lake on the right (Duck Lake).
Just as you approach a second lake (Wood Lake) on the right you will hit a set of lights
which is Oceola Road. (Lakewoods Mall is through the intersection on the left). Turn left
onto Oceola Road. Travel along this
road for 2.5 kilometers. You will go up and down a hill with orchards on both sides. Near
the bottom of the hill there is a right turn onto Carr's Landing Road. Take that right
turn. Travel for 6.4 kilometers along Carr's Landing Road. Okanagan Lake should be on your
left. This road winds through orchard country. You will pass Camp Arbuckle on the left.
You will pass Kopje park on the left at about 5.4 kilometers. You are close. Just as you
start going up a little hill you will see an entry drive on your left. It is lined
with about six trees on each side with a split rail fence behind the trees. Turn
left onto this driveway. (there is a picture of this entry drive on the photos page)
You should come to a gate on your right.
If the gate isn't open use the intercom and we will get the gate open for you.
Drive up over the hill and down the other side. You will hit a T intersection.
Go left and then go straight along the road. This road should go down the hill and
you will see a tennis court ahead of you. The coach house will be on your immediate right
with the main house past it on the right as well. Park in front of the main house
and come find us. We will get you situated and welcome you to Okanagan House. |
Flying In:
You can fly in to Kelowna airport. The
flight is about 45 minutes from Vancouver. Okanagan House is about 20 minutes north of the
airport. You can rent from all the major car companies at the airport - Hertz, Budget,
Enterprise etc. You really aren't going to need a car up there so if you want you can just
let us know when your flight will be arriving and we will pick you up. If you find
you want a car for whatever reason we have a couple you can borrow.
